 Two Rivers Golf Club

                                                 Two Rivers Golf Club

On behalf of the Two Rivers Golf Club, let me welcome you to our fun golf organization.  I hope you will enjoy playing golf with our members—they are a fun bunch of people.  We have an annual schedule of tournaments at Sacramento-area golf courses, plus golf trips to the Monterey area and Reno.  We conclude each season with a scramble format golf event that includes lunch and an awards ceremony to recognize the top golfers for the year.

Our website has interesting photos of members ‘enjoying’ the golfing experience, information on upcoming club events, and tournaments.  The website has the latest TRGC newsletter, which also is sent out to the club members each month.  The newsletter has results of recent events, news of future tournaments, and other club information.

Most important, I hope you will participate in many of our club events.  We strive to have good tournaments that will be enjoyed by all the players, but you won’t be able to fully gain from your membership if you don’t get out and play!

                                  NCGA QUALIFIER NEWS

Brad Erway and Alan Staton really laid on the wood at their NCGA Senior Four-ball qualifier at Haggin Oaks. Brad shot a personal best 68 (4 under!) and Alan nailed a 74 (+2) to move on the finals. They shot a combined 55 net and won their qualifier by 4 strokes over the second place team. Nice shooting, guys. Brad and Alan play in the finals at Poppy Hills on September 7th and 8th. Meanwhile, on August 31, Mike Morrow and Jeff Robertson played at Ancil Hoffman in the NCGA Associate Club qualifier. Mike shot a net -4 and Jeff shot a net -3. Mike thinks that both of them will move on to the next round but that hasn’t been confirmed officially yet. The finals are October 9th and 10th at Poppy Hills, right after our Reno trip.

Wild Wahine Luau Invitational

Cheryl Nelson invited Peggy Mucci, Sherry Hilger and Lee Ann Lobaugh to play in the Wild Wahine Luau Invitational Tournament at Wildhawk. Cheryl sponsored a hole in memory of Beverly Neson as she used to play in this tournament. Their team placed 2nd in the 3rd flight.

Congratulations to Mike Morrow

Mike entered into the NCGA Senior Championship, shot a 98 first day for a net 79. Middle of the pack. Then went on the next day and shot a 82 with a net 63. Which put him in 3rd place. Congratulations Mike.

We now have 100 members in our club, the first time in five years that we have reached this number.  As always, TRGC is looking to increase its member base, so don’t forget to invite your friends, co-workers, and golf buddies from other groups to play golf with our club.  Also, your can take $5 off your renewal fee for next year for every new member you bring to the club (limit of five new members per year).  Be sure to say hi and introduce yourself to the new members.
